Le Cugine

Here's a pic of Liz and I in the vineyards during the quiet before the storm (aka before Harvest had begun).
Franca had some difficulties in framing the photo, and it also looks as if I peed my pants big time, but I mean, it's still pretty cute right?

Home Sweet Home

I thought I'd post some pictures of our house because for me, it's always nice to be able to visualize where a person is sitting when they are emailing me or talking to me on the phone.

(yes, I have hit my head on those
wooden poles quite a few times)

The Whitest Boy Alive

Words cannot describe how utterly obsessed I am with this song/band!

We're not messing around

Here's a pic of the hardcore steel toed boots that we wear at work everyday. The best way to describe them is a cross between those awful clunky/platform shoes every girl wore in the 80's and Ronald McDonald's shoes. The steel toe adds about 1/2 pound to the shoe, and liz experienced some severe ankle chafage the first couple of days we wore them. The shoes are also waterproof, so you can only imagine the wonderful aroma that they produce. But I gotta say, I have been sleeping better at night knowing that my toes are safe from any wrath that the cantina might bring my way.

Ciao Regazzi!
Sincere apologies for my lack of bloggature over the past week and a half. The good news is that we are officially finished with the harvest! I've got lots to share, and will try my darndest to share with you the most insane week of my life.
In the meantime, we've got another little story written by Hadwey Phelps himself!
Please Enjoy!
OH TIGGA! ALERT...Hadwey Reports:
Earlier this week, Tigga went to the airport in Los Angeles to fly to Sacramento. She had her boarding pass, went to the gate, and was ready to go Southwest Airlines said, "You may now board the airplane".
Tigga went to the gate, gave the guy her boarding pass, and walked onto the plane. One minute later, a voice called:"ANDREA PHELPS!"
"Tigga thought, "what could be wrong?"She went back to the man at the gate, who said,"Mrs. Phelps, this plane is going to San Francisco, but you are trying to go to Sacramento!!
"Oh Tigga! She got on the wrong plane!!!
When I heard this story I said, "Oh no, what if my Mutha became lost! How would I find her! Because I love her so much!"
Fortunately they directed her to the correct gate, she got on the correct plane, and found her way home.
"Now, Mutha, you are home with me!", said Hadwey
Oh Tigga!

Thank you mom and dad

I'm not sure if anyone has been reading any of the responses to my blog, but this one has got to be the best one I've ever seen. I don't even know which of my parents wrote this. I mean it's possible the Hadwey jumped up and wrote the thing himself!

Please enjoy:

The strange tale of the Tigga Toenails!!

By Hadwey

Tonight Tigga came out of the bathroom and said that one of her toenails had fallen out!

I said, "why did your toenail fall out, Mutha?"

Two hours later she said that another toenail fell out of the other foot!

How could such a thing happen?

Sometimes things just happen, don't they?

Oh Tigga!

I hope your toenails grow back soon!

Love,

Hadwey

Thank you, Mom and Dad, for reminding me of the family from which I came, and for assuring me that I'm kindof weird for a reason!

llkw

Love

Al

Also a kiss for my little dude.

Canzone della Settimana

The Verve has returned!
If there was one song you could hear in your head for the rest of your life, which song would it be?
I've struggled with this question many a time, however I keep coming back to "Bittersweet Symphony" by The Verve.
Well they have a new hit under their belt. It's called Love is Noise. I totally love that title.
Anyways it's playing on the radio constantly in Italy. Although it could never trump the love that I hold for "Bittersweet Symphony" I can dig it.
